 Pentecostal

  • Listing ID: 206
  • Profile: The Apostolic Church International (Holland mission) is a branch of the Apostolic Church, Ghana whose head office is situated in Accra, Capital city of Ghana an offshoot of The Apostolic Church UK. It has sister churches in many parts of the world.
The church Holland officially started on the 7th March, 2009 with membership of 7 and has since grown to 86 adults and 30 Children. Most of the members are predominantly Ghanaians with a Nigerian and Dutch nationals.
The church is guided by the article 5 of the constitution of the Church in Ghana which authorizes local churches in any country to enact bye laws to facilitate its incorporation within its context. As part of the process the church in Holland is ran by seven board members and 13 Presbyters. We have various ministries for men, women, youth and the children that provide information and guidelines on general life issues to fulfill the biblical concept of the wholeness of the human being.
The church has committed herself to the vow of poverty. By our vow of poverty we submit to the direction of community authority in our use and disposition of property, for we commit ourselves to hold our goods in common and to share them as brothers. All enumeration for our services, all income, gifts and benefits are ours to share or dispose of as a community. In all of this, our hope is that the common purse will be expressive of true reliance upon one another in Holy Cross and will free our hearts for possession by the Lord.
The church per the constitution is enjoined to affiliate with Christian bodies which share similar vision and doctrinal beliefs; we are therefore a member of the Pentecostal council of Churches in Zuid Oost Amsterdam.

    Mission:
We believe that no church should have any mission apart from what Jesus has instructed in the word of God. Our attempt therefore is to craft a mission statement which could represent the truth in the word of God.
MISSION STATMENT: “Discovering your true Identity in Christ Jesus impacting your world”
    Scriptures: Ephesians 1; Mathew 5:13-16
The mission statement is derived from the aforementioned scriptures where the identity and the task of the one who professes faith in Christ Jesus have been clearly expounded. Therefore while Apostle desired though prayer that the Church in Ephesus would know the magnitude of God’s power towards them, so every believer should be able to discover the provisions God who is the highest authority have made available.
Another important dimension to reckon with is the aspect of impacting your world. Power is useless if it does no work; Jesus Christ therefore has made his power available to us not only for our benefits but also for people around us-our world. Thus we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Truth be told There is no neutrality in the world, either you impact or you are impacted upon.We are re-positioned and given a mandate to exert influence in every area of our lives.

    Vision:
VISION: Our vision is expressed with the acronym EECM
    1. That we Expose every member of our unique position in Christ and the enormous gifts available among God’s children.
    2. That we will Experience the life, power and Joy in Christ. The Christian life is an experiential rather than mere knowledge. The knowledge about God must be expressed in our daily life and it is in the practice that the knowledge in God is realized.
    3. That we are Channels of God’s blessings to others. The Christian is not supposed to be a reservoir, meaning a person who only receives blessings. We are called to bless people with the life, power and the joy that we are experiencing in Christ.
    4. That we Maintain our experiences when we are responsible participators of God’s community of Love and unity. In other words love and unity are things which will sustain God’s grace upon us. God’s spirit will not reside in a place where there is confusion or disorder.
